Red White and Bluish

Aloha Writers,
Flag flyer inspires today's poem. Enjoy!

Hope's Final Cure

In prolonged inclusion we quietly trek home
With resolve to carry a our little gems of poem
In simple forms we play a cerebral kind of ball
As steamy mission bell cathedrals invite one and all

Close daily contact forges ways to stop once again
From nowhere ambulances ambush those who will win
Darker clouds gather to bring furtive distant song
In hope we turn to strange words we sing along

Spun into webs of tizzy with blinders and such
A seasonal dizzy as rainy winds pick up
Infant fogs forge to deliver new promises
In true love watching newsreels off the premises

Imprint in chemical tracks wind wild into patterns
In nerves to print stories for future Saturns
Protectively productive allergies start to stray
High stakes nothing short of chaos prefer to stay

Wetness of wiles emerge in new forms
Exits excite to a fruition of orchard horns
Doorway's final foreplay to respond in kind
Leaves in those trees left bereft to find

Standing out there and in the way of time's day
Rising in romance resembles reality's overplay
Achievements paramount as newscasts stand in the way
Lacking hand-eye movement so disparately we sway

The natural rations across ocean's vast stands
In the way to progress in search of distant lands
What one does not have could be the decider
Left up to others or a possible late night rider

Climactic climatic in issues to bear fruit
A rival's arrival stands in the path with loot
The simple misinformation of recent newscast
Breaks into the open something new might last

A fight for safety beckons new waves of sympathy
Injury finds a way to rear in ugly head in symphony
Publicly private for all the world to feel and see
In words of succession hidden from sight so free

To afford it or not stands deep in the way
Logs of reality lie dormant in swath sway
Not having the legs or a simple creature there
Is that really a rival or someone with care

The movement to the core is always a quest
Standing out in the open to publicly best
Or off to the shadow preferring to use cross hair
Preconceived notions whether real come to bear

They say I promise you but you really promise yourself
In leagues of promiscuity down from the outer shelf
New energies needed never known or seen before
Just as alleluia begins to knock down the door

Old injury in place to be replaced by the new
Hold in place the togetherness to stifle the view
Holed up somewhere others have no clue
The one to retrieve yourself can only be you

Such a notion stays thinly veiled out in the air
Is the love affair involved is the only one who cares?
Among friends the promise of sequel remains
Touch her lips to touch sorrow's "I promise you" pain

To miff all your friends brings its own casualty
Or to whiff altogether brings heartache casually
She swirls with gossip that sweet lady fair
Searching seeds for miles under hope's final care

Uncle Tam's Cafe

Uncle Tam's Cafe'

One law to abide for common people in silence
Another for spending in frolics of noncompliance
Patient, long suffering, and forgiving are we
We're the kind folks who voted you to serve Hawaii

If runaway spending could testify as a citizen
Harboring or assisting would be a fugitive politician
Is eating directly related to some council duty?
With business associates family members of beauty

Restore in us all the true meaning of entitlement
Does the world owe us a living for each embattlement?
So costly this conducting city business mentally
Justifying expense come to its defense eventually

Take a mandatory nap compliments of Rob
Forget evil morality or stealing on the job
These redeeming possibilities of stepping down
Seem even more intriguing now it's the talk of the town

Uncle Tam's Cabin

Aloha Poet's,
This poem was in response to reports of a local politician misusing contingency funds written in the voice of a Sam Adams independent. Enjoy!

Uncle Tam's Cabin

Let's trigger this thing to get out the votes
For bigger and better double standards to loathe
Great smiles with poignant political perceptions
Triumphantly choosing entitlement receptions

One law to abide for common people in silence
Another for spending in frolics of noncompliance
Patient, long suffering, and forgiving are we
We're the kind folks who voted you to serve Hawaii

All in favor of a ban of stinky folks in buses
Raise your right hand as family complicity fusses
Do we knowingly stay and work to pay taxes?
Only to furnish colorful dishes to battle axes

If runaway spending could testify as a citizen
Harboring or assisting would be a fugitive politician
Is eating directly related to some council duty?
With business associates family members of beauty

Restore in us all the true meaning of entitlements
Does the world owe us a living for our embattlements?
So costly this conducting city business virtually
Justifying expense comes to the defense eventually

Take a mandatory nap compliments of Rob
Forget evil morality or stealing on the job
These redeeming possibilities of stepping down
Seem even more intriguing now it's the talk of the town

There are outrages that separate good people from bad
Separating politicians from the public trust they had
Leave behind some ethical structural model to unfurl
Will we ever be taken seriously in our marshmallow world?

Only we the people can author our own authority
And try to save America from political audacity
Retrieve the moral power and sanctity of public citizen
As this era of office holders becomes a social denizen

Truth lies in the death of honesty in government
Makes us cry as if to wonder what our lover meant
Be a hero now and change the view of Hawaiian politic
These cultures of spending have got to go away quick

Spending held captive by political slave master
How will we ever avoid this upcoming disaster
Transform yourself now stand up for your journey
Take the next step sir councilman step down in a hurry

So carefree sexy spending for a Valentines romance
Too eager to please a hungry family's business dance
Bowing down to the dinner check with ill gotten funds
Unintended costs over Chinatown crime prevention guns

Yes we thought you were who we wanted you to be
Now newly reported notations face a possibility
Justified, dismissed, and diminished this may be
Still remains our image of who we thought you would be

How much more longer to wear these blinders must we
The fraud in your corner out of fear couldn't see
Thankful to someone for removing our blinders are we
Face yourself now Uncle Tam, step down, set yorself free

When fancy talk gets relieved of its duty
Living your life becomes you as a beauty
Congratulations to you on coming to where you are
But your journey is not over now, not by far

Your pattern of deciet and good days are numbered
If only somebody could have counted to a hundred
We thought you to be one of the good guys we depend
Embark on your journey Rod you can still be the man

You can finish it standing at your personal ground zero
No better do the right thing step down be the hero
Passive resistance is only part of this thing
How much longer can you listen to your phone ring?

We know something inside you led you there
First embarked on your journey you really did care
Always been attracted to those freebie things?
To you, who you are and what you are worth is king

We voted you in but not to your chosen persuit
Conformed wishes left you in that dapper suit
We gave you our trust you had your own voice
Your spending held captive by a political choice

Why should we care if you feel bad about this?
Start a new journey by stepping down, off with a kiss
Prior approval for your impropriety now needs to be
So we invite you now on that inner journey go see

You can settle this complaint Mr council man
Now this other little journey must be part of your plan
A run for congress or Governor's seat
Michael Jackson said it best, now it you must beat

So trigger it now light that good flame
Constituents forgive we're not fast to blame
So the next move is yours and we won't trouble you more
Just please stand up and walk down that ramp out the door

And about that chattered talk you said were allegations
Fancy talk has a way to damn the greatest of nations
Spending accepts its fate and just continue on as usual
Listening to someone other than yourself for perusal

Take us to task even make us now sing
Sometimes even councilmen needs counseling
So many others hear and see these words
You have to do something besides a few blurbs

Through smelly little naps or a mandatory snack
You have to believe us we had your back
To be ready and willing you have to hear it from within
Come on please now take that journey get in

We trust you didn't here footsteps not even a sound
Just say no when the next one comes around
Maybe public education can ask you about the economy
You can chair a seat in the zone then put on a comedy

The possibilities are endless like the crime in Chinatown
Where they may less than the amount charged put down
No greater satisfaction than helping the homeless
You can dedicate your life to those with boneheadedness

Next Valentines Day you can make it to the ball
Even pick up the phone and return a call
We are left with one fact and that's for you to get traction
And allow us to follow you and railroad your action

We know you see the gravity in this seat that got hot
You liked gravity's pull to your favorite dining spot
To follow up with a little action now connect the dots
Even out and holding that sign, we loved you lots

Now whimsical stubbornness can't get you far
Thoughts of governors and mayors drive away far
You can go back to the old way try to do it if you can
Think about it Ron, as we now hold a grown man's hand

Characterizations defined as fitting into racist norms
Cast within the apologetics of oncoming storms
Stripped of your strength in that little think tank
Your capacity to irritate rankles the file and rank

Yes councilmen need a little counsel time happening
Who opposes illegals swimming and city workers napping?
Snacking with homeless smells can't ride the bus
Whoever really cares about all that fuss?

Uncle Tam you understand gravity but will you act on it?
We have all created an image of who we wanted to sit
We know you have been long suffering in that little trance
To listen to your phone ring without passive resistance

We forgive you for we know we were the ones that voted you in
It's really not your fault go ahead have a little grin
Understand gravity and the weight of the complaint
Your dining out feeding frenzy makes us all faint

Order up now but stop feeding your friends
With stolen money you might get them in trouble again
Now they too have to distance themselves from you
Under crush of your faith in your entitlement boo boo

Your pattern of misuse renews the resolve
You can still be a hero you can show us up all
Do the right thing, step down take a minute
It's for the better, and you'll be a better man for it

Patriot Poet

Aloha Writers,
Separation of political and social and the freedom gene inspires today. Enjoy!

Of Freedom Gene's Cool Lit Coalition
Freedom's Last Outpost

Stranded on the incessant harpers bodes well for its borders
Grooms and licks this pup of new fatherhood hoarders
Setting new records in setting the record straight
Exquisite technique makes us watch what happens with our fate

Biggest tents elucidate needs to to evacuate the educated
They say rebels revel in evil rubble form to form rival coalitions
Born into it or by faithful father of fashionable surprise
A life of confinement sets stages for the starkness in those eyes

Those of us who remember how we once slept so easy street smart
Genes of remembrance framed by normal auspices of spiced art
Social deficit so jolted and jerked who would ever have thought
The agnostic ghost agast in what once worked is now bought

Restless disorientantation of too much presented by the same
The genetics of freedom has destiny and only ourselves to blame
Our debt filled tooth is no sayer to sooth suspense with a bit of Ale
Freedom to fail is no fatal death raid on whistle stop rail

Territorial roils with the noise of climate change and genetic
Encampments of nurture egged on engaged by social frenetic
Varieties and arrays form a peaceful separation of political and party
Whie societies of air raids come from inbred collusion fool hearty

Political inbreedings claim the mantle to make the call on social
Tapping into your right brain so your left can tap dance parochial
Pace forgives no one so naive as those who can't keep up
Demandings for sameness throughout durations for the want of a cup

Collecting genes for gamer babies now it's nature over nurture
Uneven ravens in a fast life of protest raid the nests of future
Visual vaults hold dear and devisive at best to say it;s all dandy
Handing out breathers like so much gum and chocolate candy

Modest modes of adobe bode well for a while among the modest
Alienate a tailgate party at ones own risk find yourself so honest
Prognosticators cool lit on a coalition sit and wait for annoint
Claims of talk and bedside manner can be beside the point?

How fast we unload and where we take it to make the most
Last outpost of freedom wanders to find freedom's last outpost
Auction thriller on the action block evacuate the cultivated bet
Inside the drop zone or the dead to pass on this aquisition of debt

If Sam Adams was a drinker so are we but at least we're wintered
Fractured strengths of another plank piles on and then goes splintered
Consider the coalescence of a coalition of loosely knit literates
Outside the zone of politics and poetry can anybody get to it?

Outgrow a church get far away from so far so ingrown
Saintly lifestyle of a good family stays inside a drop zone
Improvisor of politics run hard so the great chase must ensue
A stop and a start is it a horse or cart is the illusionist view

Reigned in reignited to carry the romantic terms of the mantle
A fight over a debt outside the zone of free market rankle
Coalitional grouped into chuncks of coal visit to predetermine
Cures for fear of too much suspense they build numbers online

Succinct occurs to free willie and the encased markets
Why bother to care if success goes into play to shock it
Patriotism parrots in conservative lingo of parental ploy
Birth to a movement makes one wonder is it a girl or a boy

Little if any fiscal fists take their immediate bounces
Reunion of the union in motivated attentitive state trounces
What is it that resonates under the weight of all this debt?
Merging interests believed at first to be a hobby horse to get

In perfect preface divisive dive sites to be without so consolable
Allocated resource love lost running wild so uncontrollable
Centers of objectivity forget sound issues to see what you lack
Sometimes it's best to just set it down and turn your social back

This feeling of hurt and that broken heart so poetic with rhyme
Jilted by our beloved office holders triggered all this grime
As once he stood so snugly upright one cool winter night
Bring in those ingredients so gently used to fool and splinter right

Inflate against the wall out of work on streets of main
Living up to type piles on more to put on the hurt again
So essential to each other this is really no engagement ring
Clear water characters all that's needed for safety to end the pain
